Maxi Dresses – The most fashionable way to stay cool this summer

Well Summer is definitely here and there is no better way to stay cool and look fashionable than the Maxi Dress.  This trend has been around for a few Summer seasons but the update for this Summer is either monochromatic or bold ethnic prints.

The best thing about this trend for new mums is its easy to wear on days when you don’t feel like dressing special but you can make this trend special just by updating your accessories.  And for new mum’s who are still transitioning to their after-baby weight, this trend is very forgiving.

You can find Maxi Dresses everywhere from Supre to Roberto Cavalli depending on your budget.

Here are a few of my fav’s

Supre V Printed Side Slit Maxi Dress -This dress is a great everyday dress that can be worn around the house or to a brunch with the girls.  The best thing about this dress is its scoop neckline which make’s it easy to breastfeed.

Country Road Blocked Pleat Maxi Dress – This gorgeous dress can give you that bit of glam while going about your day.  Add jazzy earrings and heel and you are ready for any night time event from Christmas Parties to New Years Eve.

Roberto Cavalli Printed silk-chiffon maxi kaftan via Net-a-porter.com – This brilliant caftan can be worn too the beach or anywhere else.  It’s glamorous without being pompus. This is an investment piece that can worn for many years to come.  Cavalli never goes out of style.
