Mummy goes back to school!

To be completely honest with you until a few months ago I didn’t really know just how big the blogging world was and how many amazing blogs were out there. There are so many dedicated bloggers excited to share their ideas, information & inspirations to help and guide others for FREE! It’s so inspiring and beautiful and I feel so blessed to become part of it. I am so impressed by the whole blogging community  and so happy to report that they are by far one of the most friendly and giving communities I’ve ever come across!

One of the main reasons I was inspired to commence my own Mummy BLOG was due to the fact that I had so many friends and family enquiring about my holistic, natural and organic approach associated with my pregnancy and parenting. I consider myself to be a very caring, sharing and giving person and I am always willing to help. I also love connecting and meeting new people and have found that blogging is a perfect way to communicate.

Another reason is, as all new Mummies know when you have a baby, they love to feed feed feed and even though I was told this by so many different people, this was the biggest shock to my system. Until it actually happens to you and you are experiencing it first hand, only then the truth becomes a reality.

I’ve never been the sort of person that does well with just sitting around, I need to be active and keep my mind occupied. That’s when I decided I was going to start my own Mummy BLOG, I wanted to reach out, interact and discover other Mummies with similar interests and parenting ideas. I started to do some research and wow did my eyes open up! This was such a huge thing.  I was convinced, it really was something I wanted to be part of. I wanted to know more and learn as much as I could.

That’s when fellow Mummy Blogger Libby from Willy B MUM told me about  an e-course that Holly Becker from the very successful and popular BLOG decor8blog was holding.

Blogging Your Way Boot Camp is a 4 week e-course done via correspondence with bloggers from all over the world participating. The aim of the course is to ‘give you all of the tools that you need to help you to use your blog as a catalyst to live your best life.’

Some of the BOOT CAMP Topics Include:

*Writing from the heart *tapping in to your personal style *styling your photos *taking great photos for your blog *photo editing *adding text to images *what you need to include on your blog *how to find your voice * finding your niche *creative post ideas *overcoming fear *pushing beyond writer’s block *sourcing content *office organization *photo copyright *brand marketing *community building *social networking *building your readership *dealing with negativity *advertising *revenue ideas *apps and sites you can use to blog your best *getting out of creative ruts *q+a session with some top publishers to share their secrets to breaking into book writing *breaking into book and magazine writing and much, much more!

In 2013 I’ve got my eye on some big courses via correspondence (which I’m a little scared but excited about!) so this is going to be a good warm up and a great practice test. I am very excited to get creative and be inspired by all the Boot Camp teachers as well as connecting with other fellow bloggers.

I will keep you posted on my progress but fingers-crossed you will start to see some of the new tips and tricks that I’ve learnt along the way from the experts throughout the duration of the course.

The blogging world is massive, I am so inspired and impressed and can’t wait to share more!
